A Message from Mr. Jankowski

Dear Ethel Burke Parents,

I hope that all is well and that you are finding a way to stay warm during these cold winter days! Please continue to reach out to me via email or phone if you have any questions or concerns. Your input is invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Please note the following important items:

·      Be sure to visit the school district website at for answers to your questions about Covid-19 protocols. Click on the box on the left titled “Coronavirus Information”. The screening tool can be found there as well.

·      It is very important that you contact the school immediately if your child exhibits any of the symptoms listed on our site.

·      Today, January 27th, was the day that requests for a change in placement (hybrid/remote) was honored.

·      The Kindness Challenge is currently taking place here at Ethel Burke School. This SEL initiative started on Monday and will continue until Friday, January 29th. Please check with your child’s teacher or our school counselor Mr. Reilly for details. Information can also be found on Google Classroom. Our students are doing a wonderful job of spreading kindness in the world!

·      Valentine’s Day: given the current safety protocols in place, please refrain from sending in any treats and/or cards this year. Teachers and students will celebrate by making these items in the classroom.

·      Please be sure to frequently check your child’s Google Classroom for current assignments and contact the teacher if you have any questions.

·      Report cards will be posted on Parent Portal on Monday, February 1st .

Important Upcoming Dates:

·      January 27th – start of the 3rd marking period.

·      February 15th – school is closed in honor of President’s Day

On behalf of the Ethel Burke staff, we thank you for your continued support of our school!
